Why did TIMOCOM decide to bring back its 'Messenger' tool?
Paweł: The decision to restore the TIMOCOM messenger was a response to the dynamically changing needs of the market and the expectations of our users. Digitalisation in the transport industry is accelerating, and the importance of effective and flexible communication is increasing as well. Our previous messenger at some point no longer met these growing demands, so we decided to completely overhaul the tool. We wanted to create a solution that would not only match the constantly evolving standards, but also give room for further development.
What has changed in the updated TIMOCOM Messenger compared to its previous version?
Paweł: The new messenger at TIMOCOM has been designed from scratch on the basis of modern technology, which enables us to develop functionality based on user needs. The layout has changed, and now it is more intuitive and in line with current design canons. We have added many features such as a writing indicator, reactions to messages, read confirmations or pop-up notifications. You can also share relevant documents in the chat window. The most popular formats, such as Word, Excel, PDF or JPG are supported. All of these make communication clearer and more convenient.
Moreover, the new technology provides us with huge opportunities for further development. It is no longer a static tool, but a solution that will evolve as the needs of the TSL industry change.
Why is TIMOCOM Messenger becoming an indispensable communication tool in transport and logistics? What advantages has it got over email or telephone?
Paweł: TIMOCOM Messenger is a natural choice for a growing number of users, especially those who are new to social media messaging. It is a convenient, fast and intuitive tool that combines the advantages of an ad hoc telephone call with the documentation of findings typical for emails.
Moreover, TIMOCOM Messenger centralises communication – all conversations relating to a specific freight offer are in one place, making them easy to manage. This is a significant simplification, especially in an industry where speed of response is crucial.
Then there is security, which is an additional advantage. Users can rest assured that all messages are protected according to TIMOCOM Marketplace's highest standards. Integration is also important – the TIMOCOM Messenger is connected to the Transport Exchange, allowing users to quickly move from conversation to action.
What are your development plans regarding TIMOCOM Messenger for the near future?
Paweł: TIMOCOM Messenger is a project that will be continuously developed. In the coming months, we are planning several new features that will make things even easier for our users. First of all, we will add the ability to export messages to a file, which will allow to archive conversations. Then we will introduce search and filter functions for messages so that specific information can be easily found.
Automatic translation of messages will be another key element. Our Marketplace supports many different languages, so we want to make communication between users from different countries as simple as possible. Going forward, we will introduce email notifications so that no one misses a message.
All these changes are introduced in response to the needs of our users, as the first feedback from customers not only from Poland, but also from Western Europe, has already confirmed.
